New Trolls), Marco Zoccheddu (Nuova Idea, Osage Tribe), Guido Guglielminetti (De Gregori), Franco Testa (Guccini), Mauro Pagani (PFM, Fabrizio De Andrè), Carlo Marrale (Matia Bazar), Leeroy Thornhill (Prodigy), Carlo Cantini (Arkè Quartet, Antonella Ruggiero), Roberto Tiranti (Labyrinth), Joe Vescovi (The Trip, Dik Dik) oltre a giovani musicisti bresciani.

Robert "Bob" Cross, drummer of the up-and-coming Cornish band the Splinters, sees his life shatter on a rainy night along the A394. A devastating car crash leaves him in a coma and with a severe spinal injury. Months of rehabilitation, physical pain and the loss of mobility drag him into a downward spiral that costs him his relationship with Katy, the woman he loves. When he attempts suicide, only the intervention of his neighbours and bandmates saves his life.
Music becomes his lifeline. Thanks to the intuition of the Splinters, Bob reconnects with the world and discovers an unexpected talent for songwriting. The Words I Need, written with bassist Rollie, becomes a national hit and opens the door to a new artistic identity. With Katy's return, his life seems to fall back into place.
Bob and Katy buy the seaside home of Captain Toddie, an old sea dog leaving for Florida. Their newfound stability brings a trip to Cairo, another chart success (Mind the Gap), and the news they had long hoped for: Katy is pregnant. But the pregnancy ends in tragedy, plunging the couple into deep grief. Slowly, with the help of a psychologist and their desire to build a family, they begin the adoption process. When Katy becomes pregnant again, their life regains balance: their daughter Maureen is born, and the Splinters reach the peak of their popularity.
During a holiday in Alicante, a phone call shatters everything: Rollie, Bob's closest friend, has taken his own life in a Bristol hotel. The tragedy leaves an unhealable wound. The investigation uncovers a painful truth: Rollie had fallen into gambling addiction, accumulated debts, and lived with a torment no one had perceived. The band stops, the press speculates, and Bob spirals into an existential crisis that forces him to question the meaning of his career.
In that void, Bob understands what truly matters: his family, his community, his new life. He decides to leave show business and take over the Harbour Club, Truro's historic venue, transforming it into a gathering place for the town. The Splinters join him for the opening night, while Listen to Me, the last track recorded with Rollie's bass, becomes a posthumous hit.
Bob doesn't abandon music; he weaves it into a broader, more authentic life. He is no longer the drummer he once was, nor the celebrated lyricist: he is a man who has lived through loss, rebirth, and choice, finally finding a safe harbour.
Following early musical studies in his childhood, he attended the Combined Percussion Course taught by Prof. Luigi Torrebruno at the N. Paganini Conservatory in Genoa. In the late 1960s, together with a group of friends, he founded PLEP, producing their first single for the Carosello label under the direction of M° Gianfranco Reverberi. With M° Reverberi he also produced other instrumental music albums under the names 'The Underground Set' and 'Psycheground group'. Under Ariston Music and the name 'Nuova Idea', he recorded five singles and three albums, appearing on major RAI radio and television broadcasts (Per voi giovani / RadioRai - Senza Rete RAI 1 TV, Un disco per l'estate and others), as well as participating in all the major Pop Festivals of that era.
In 1973, M° Guarnieri, Artistic Director of Ariston, hired him as in-house musician and producer. Over the next two years, he oversaw singles and albums for numerous artists including Ornella Vanoni, Rosanna Fratello, Gilda Giuliani, Julio Iglesias (Se mi lasci non vale), Matia Bazar (Stasera che sera), Gianni Magni, and Equipe 84 — with whom he recorded two albums (Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde and Sacrificio) before joining the group at the invitation of Maurizio Vandelli. He also produced an instrumental single that became the soundtrack for the film 'Stesso mare stessa spiaggia', as well as albums for Giorgio Calabrese, Corrado Mantoni, Francesco d'Errico, Luciano Rossi, and Opus Avantra, and founded Track, an exclusive studio group whose eponymous album was targeted at international markets.
He later left the commercial music industry to open a jewelry studio in Brescia, simultaneously resuming his musical studies with a focus on electronic music. He authored several multimedia works performed across Italy, most notably 'Chrysalis'. For two consecutive years he participated in the Linz Electronic Music Festival (Austria), earning a special mention for innovative work in 1984. In subsequent years, he composed stage music for theatre and dance companies in collaboration with cultural institutions in Lombardy, Veneto, and Piedmont.
From 2010 to 2018, he returned to writing Prog Rock music, producing three solo albums for the Genoa independent label 'Black Widow' and returning to live performance. He organized a series of benefit concerts for the Gaslini Children's Hospital in Genoa, collaborating with legendary friends and fellow musicians including Giorgio Usai, Ricky Belloni, Marco Zoccheddu, Guido Guglielminetti, Franco Testa, Mauro Pagani, Carlo Marrale, Leeroy Thornhill, Carlo Cantini, Roberto Tiranti, Joe Vescovi, and young musicians from Brescia.
In 2022, he decided to close that chapter to return to instrumental composition, producing three primary projects: '10 Guitars' (50s/60s style guitar sounds), 'The Soundtrack of a never shot movie' (cinematic scores), and 'Bob the drums', a semi-autobiographical narrative accompanied by 14 instrumental tracks and a recurring main theme arranged across three acts, totaling 1 hour and 21 minutes of music.
